Online Accounting degree at Pierce College

Peirce College, Philadelphia's leading private, not profit, four-year institutions for adult learners who are competent to work, celebrating the first-born graduate of Science degree in Accounting program, at the beginning of the College on June 11.

With the improvement in the position of national accounting available, DEPARTMENT embody a degree program from the initial concentration to capitalize on this opportunity in the market and utilize the expertise of Peirce in the history of this area. Peirce now has one of the largest accounting program in Pennsylvania, the number of students enrolled, and one of the largest accounting programs for women. Seventy-five percent of 2012 graduates and all graduates of Accounting woman living in the Greater Philadelphia region.

"As a leading provider of education for adults who work in this area, we developed an accounting degree program of professional education and career options for people who want to get into the field,"

Accounting diploma program is designed to prepare graduates to work with companies, governments and nonprofit organizations, and is one of only seven programs to receive accreditation by the Accreditation Council for individual Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).

"ACBSP accreditation is really proof of Peirce's commitment to quality education," says Rucker. "It reinforces the high caliber of our faculty and our dedication to providing students for real world success."

Changing financial regulations and laws, and stricter attention to business practices, the main factors in increased demand for accountants and auditors. Increased surveillance is also driving demand for work-related, such as business analysts, credit analysts, financial examiners and personal financial analyst, the Greater Philadelphia region and across the country.

According to Ahmed Omar, Assistant Professor & Program Manager, Accounting at Peirce, employers increasingly seek graduates with an accounting degree and expertise in accounting principles and generally accepted.

Peirce program focuses on analytical skills, understanding of financial regulations, law and ethics, and establish the efficiency of the core needs to work. The program is available online and in Center City Philadelphia College campus.
